The Statement 
about the International Gira Sport Competitions for 2008 

1. The Goals and Tasks
The competitions are held to:
- further develop the gira sport in the world;
- determine the winners;
- tighten the international sports relations.


2. The Place and Terms
• The World Championship among youths and girls 1990-1992 years of
birth - 04-06* April, Bobruysk, the Republik of Belarus;
• The World Veteran's Championship men (dash) - 18ø-20ø April,
Kazan, Russia, AR Tatarstan;
• The World Men's Championship (long cycle) ~ 06-09th June, Hamburg,
Germany;
• The World Junior's Championship 1986-1989 years of birth (long
cycle) - 06-09* June, Hamburg, Germany;
• The World Championship among men (biathlon) and women (dash) -
21-24th November ,Milan, Italy;
• The World Junior's Championship 1986-1989 years of birth (youths -
biathlon, girls - dash) -21-24th November ,Milan, Italy;
• The World Veteran's Championship - men (biathlon) and women
(dash) - 21-24th November ,Milan, Italy.
The date of arrival - the first day according to the planned schedule. The credentials committee, the meeting of panel of referees together with the team representatives and weighing of the competitors - on the day of arrival.


3. The directions concerning the procedure of competitions
The general instructions concerning the organization and holding of competitions are given by the Executive Committee of the IFGS. The immediate organization of competitions is taken by national and territorial federations of gira sport at the place of holding of competitions and by the Head panel of referees approved at the established order.


4. The participants of the competitions
All of the competitions except the World Veteran's Championship are personal and team championship.
For participation in competitions are allowed National teams and sportsmen from countries that cultivate gira sport. The team personnel is determined before the weighing of the competitors. The competitors quantity of the each weight category is not limited.
1. The World Junior's Championship 1987-1988 years of birth
youths (separate exercises) - 14 competitors, 1 coach, 2 referees. 1 sports delegation representative, girls (dash) - 3competitors, 1 coach, 1 referee;
2. . World Men's Championship
(long cycle) - 7 competitors, 1 coach, 1 referee, 1 sports delegation
representative,
(relay-race) - 5 competitors, 1 coach, 1 referee;
3. The World Junior's Championship 1986-1989 years of birth
youths (long cycle) -7 competitors, 1 coach, 1 referee, 1 sports delegation representative;
4. The World Junior's Championship 1986-1989 years of birth
youths (biathlon) - 7 competitors, 1 coach, 1 referees, 1 sports delegation
representative,
girls (dash) - 3 competitors, 1 coach, 1 referee;
5. The World Men's Championship
(biathlon ) - 7 competitors, 1 coach, 1 referee, 1 sports delegation
representative,
(relay-race) - 5 competitors, 1 coach, 1 referee;
6. The World Women's Championship (dash) - 3 competitors, 1 coach, 1 referee, 1
sports delegation representative;
7. The World Veteran's Championship
men (long cycle, biathlon) - 17 competitors, 1 coach, 2 referees, 1 sports
delegation representative.
women (dash) - 6 competitors, 2 coaches, 2 referees, 1 sports delegation
representative;
The additional participants recommended by the NFGS (submitted to the IFGS) are allowed to participate in personal championship.
For participation in competitions among youths and juniors are allowed also sportsmen younger than the corresponding age group only in case of special medical and IFGS permissions.
The age of the competitors is defined by date indicated in passport.
The National federations that reported more than 7 participants have to present additional quantity of referees (1 referee for 5 participants).


5. The program of competitions and awarding
The competitions is held according to the rules of the IFGS that are currently in force.
The team championship are determined in all kinds of competitions only by the results of test competitors and if no less than 5 countries participated according to Morozov's table.
The team events among veterans are not determined.
The relay-races are held as separate kind of competition when no less than 4 teams from different countries participate. Depending on primary competitions the sort of relay-races consists in pushing two giras from the chest (short push) or push two giras from the chest with the next going down (long cycle). The point of order of carrying out the exercises - 5 stages for 3 minutes. The team personnel - 5 sportsmen in different weight categories.
The relay-race results are not included into the total team test.
During any stage of the preparing and participating in competitions dope control is possible.
The World Championship among youths and girls (separate exercises)
The competitions are personal and team championship.
The winners and prize-winners in personal tests are determined only in separate exercises (short push - 1st day, dash - 2nd day of the competitions) by the largest quantity of giras lifting in each weight category - up to 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, +80 kg;
girls - dash, up to 50, 60, +60kg. Gira weight: youths - 24kg, girls - 16kg.
The team results are determined the by the largest score quantity obtained by each team participant.

The World Veteran's Championship (men - long cycle):
The competitions are personal events.
Veteran-men compete in several age groups - 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-69, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and older. The winners and prize-winners in personal tests are determined by the largest quantity of two giras lifting in each weight category - up to 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 90, +90 kg.
Gira weight: for veteran-men aged 40-59 - 24kg; for men aged 60 and older and veteran-women - 16kg.

The World Men's Championship (long cycle push)
The competitions are personal and team championship.
The winners and prize-winners in personal tests are determined by the largest quantity of two giras lifting in each weight category - up to 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 90, +90 kg. Gira weight is 32 kg.
The team results are determined the by the largest score quantity obtained by each team participant.
The results in relay-race competitions are determined by the largest sum of giras lifting done by each relay-race team participant.

Girls - dash, up to 60, 70, +70kg. Gira weight: youths - 24kg, girls - 16kg.
The team results are determined the by the largest score quantity obtained by each team participant.

The World Veteran's Championship (men - biathlon, women - dash):
The competitions are personal events.
Veteran-men compete in several age groups - 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-69, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and older; veteran-women - 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54 55-59, 60 and older.
The winners and prize-winners are determined in each age category: among men - by the largest quantity of giras lifting in double-event (push + dash) in each weight category - up to 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 90, +90 kg; among women - in dash up to 60, 70 +70kg.
Gira weight: for veteran-men aged 40-59 - 24kg; for men aged 60 and older-16 kg, for veteran-women aged 35-59 - 16kg, for men aged 60 and older - 12 kg.

6. The awarding
The competitors who took 1-3 places in each weight category are awarded with medals and diplomas.
The winners get memorable prizes.
The coaches who prepared winners of the competition are awarded by diplomas.
The team-winners and prize-winners are awarded by diplomas and memorable prizes.
The competitors who took 1-3 places in relay-race competitions are awarded with medals and diplomas and the teams - by diplomas and memorable prizes.


7. The financing
All the expenditure for the participation in competitions (transportation, nutrition, placing, start fee, license payment) - at the expense of sending organizations.
The expenditure for organization and holding of competitions (sports constructions rent, advertisement, poster production, diplomas, medals, valuable prizes, payment for referees work etc.) - at the expense of competition organizers, interested organizations, sponsor and at share holding, at the expense of outtakings from competitors start fees.
The start fee makes up 20 US dollars for each participant of competition.
The license for participation in international competitions in current year - 10 US dollars for each participant of competition.
The participants from the countries that did not pay collective IFGS membership fees for current year have to make start fee at the rate 40 US dollars
for each participant of competition - 50% from the sum goes for competition organization and 50% - for solving IFGS statute questions.
Several world championships carried out simultaneously among different categories of sportsmen (men, juniors, veterans and other) are considered separate competitions. In this case parallel test for competitors is hold in each of them if all of the start fees are paid.


8. The applications
The preliminary applications for participation in competition are given to the organizational committee at the latest than in two months before competition.
The nominal applications for participation in competition attested by the doctor and NFGS, passport (identity card) and other documents provided by the competition rules have to be presented to the credentials committee at the arrival date.
The delegations that arrived should have two state flags and sound record of state anthem (cassette or compact disk).
